Follow-up on Julia–Part 2
"The videos on the site with Julia and Karyn (and family) and with Jessica, Charles and Alex are great!
Perfect the way they talk about ongoing relationships, embracing a child’s story, growing pains and the older child piece. The way Julia talked about being an older kid...fears, worries and hopes. You can really see the emotion in Julia when she’s talking about her experiences, and that she has hopes for other kids like her, that they have the same opportunity of a loving, growing up family. So many of our kids, especially our older guys, live without a sense of real belonging and connection, not knowing where they’ll be or who they’ll be with, and some wondering what they’ll do when they turn 18 and are very literally on their own. Very real videos...thanks for these!"
"If it wasn't for being adopted, I would not be where I am today. Fully educated, running my own business, being part of a loving family and being able to enjoy life. Adoption changed my life...if I wasn't adopted when I was...I'd probably be destitute...or dead...So thanks to you (Wednesday's Child, CTV Television, Children and Youth Services) for making it possible."
"I don't ever want to see the program stop. It helps kids. I want other children to be as happy as I was and to be able to be adopted. I want kids to have a chance, like I did."
