Historical wildfire database

See data downloads and corresponding dictionaries for each time period.

Wildfires from 2024 that were still active as of February 1, 2025 do not have extinguishment days.

Wildfire geospatial data

Current and historical wildfire and weather Geographic Information System (GIS) data can be viewed and downloaded through the Alberta Geospatial Services Platform (AGSP).

Spatial wildfire data

The historical wildfire GIS data are available as an ESRI Shapefile (contained within a downloadable ZIP file).
