Overview

The online Child Care Claims System (C3P) allows licensed child care providers to submit monthly claims for the following grants:

  • Child care affordability grant and cost increase replacement funding
  • Child care subsidy
  • Wage top-up and mandatory employer contributions
  • Grants related to family day home agency contracts

Once submitted, child care providers can make corrections to their claims by requesting an adjustment using the Child Care Licensing Portal.

Claims can be submitted on the first calendar day following the end of the claim month. Claim payments are deposited within 5-10 business days from claim submission date.

For detailed guidance, including video tutorials and step-by-step instructions, refer to the Online Child Care Claims System User Guide.

Access to Child Care Claims System (C3P)

A C3P user account allows providers to submit monthly claims, check the history of previously submitted claims and access payment reports.

Requesting a Username for C3P

The licence holder representative or their designate must complete and submit a Login Request Form to the Child Care Claims Unit.

Fillable PDF forms may not open properly on some mobile devices and web browsers. See the step-by-step guide or contact PDF form technical support.

After the request has been processed, the new user will receive their log-in information and detailed instructions for the next steps.

Orientation Session

New users will need to attend a one-on-one training session before they will be able to submit their first claim. A Child Care Claims representative will contact all new users to schedule an online meeting to guide them through the claim submission and adjustment processes.

Refresher training sessions are available for existing users upon request.

C3P User Password Management

To update the C3P user password, go to the User Name Help page.

To update existing user details, add/remove a program ID from an existing user account or deactivate an account, please complete and submit a Login Request Form to the Child Care Claims Unit.

Change your password

You can change your C3P account password in the Password Manager.

Adjust a claim

Child care providers can correct previously submitted claims by requesting an adjustment in the Child Care Licensing Portal.

Request Claims Adjustment

Step-by-step instructions and video tutorials related to submission of adjustment requests are available once logged in to the Child Care Licensing Portal.

Access to Child Care Licensing Portal

Staff designated to submit adjustment requests on behalf of child care providers will need to set up their own Child Care Licensing Portal accounts.

For detailed instructions, refer to the Child Care Licensing Portal Guide.

For log-in and system issues, contact the Portal Team at cclicensingsystemsupport@gov.ab.ca

For questions regarding adjustments, contact Child Care Claims at childcareclaims@gov.ab.ca or call 1-855-638-6121.

Claim Advance

Child care providers who submit their monthly claim by the 20th of each month will receive an advance on their next claim. The claim advance payment will be made at the beginning of the month (within the first 3 to 5 business days) and the remainder of the funding (if applicable) will be paid after providers submit their claim at the end of the month.
