Supporting 2SLGBTQQIA+ Albertans
Supporting 2SLGBTQQIA+ Albertans is a priority for me and my ministry and Alberta’s government is an ally of the community. To help 2SLGBTQQIA+ Albertans and organizations find the resources available to them, Alberta’s government has created the 2SLGBTQQIA+ Resource Hub.
Whether you are a member of the community, an ally or an organization supporting the community, this centralized hub outlines all of the supports and resources provided by Alberta’s government for the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community. Since 2021, Alberta’s government has committed over $26 million in direct supports and funding to the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community.
Beyond funding and services, Alberta’s government supports the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community through recognition of special days like raising the Pride flag in June and raising the Transgender flag on Transgender Day of Remembrance and Transgender Day of Visibility.
I look forward to continuing to work with Alberta’s 2SLGBTQQIA+ community to ensure we secure an even brighter future for all Albertans.
