About AOPA

Act and regulations

The Agricultural Operation Practices Act (AOPA) and its associated regulations apply to all agricultural operations in Alberta.

Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation is responsible for developing and maintaining all of AOPA and the Agricultural Operations, Part 1 and Part 2 Matters Regulations as well as the Standards and Administration Regulation.

AOPA consists of the following parts:
