Overview
The United Nations recognizes International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) each year on December 3. This day increases awareness of diverse abilities and promotes inclusion for Albertans with disabilities. Funding is available to help community groups hold IDPD events.
IDPD 2024 events
Pancake Breakfast
Date: November 30, 9 am to 12 pm
Where: Wetaskiwin Senior Centre, 5216 54 Street, Wetaskiwin, AB T9A 2X1
Organization: Horizon Centre
Details: The Horizon Centre is hosting a pancake breakfast for International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Other activities include a petting zoo, accessible sleigh rides, a pop-up market, activities for kids and family resources. The pancake breakfast is $8.00 and all family activities are free.
Gift of Self Care - Mini Retreat
Date: November 30, 10:15 am to 3:30 pm

An event for all - International Day for Persons with Disabilities

Peace Region IDPD Celebration Event
Date: December 3, 10 am to 1 pm

United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities
