Working while receiving income support
Income Support recipients are encouraged and supported to work. You keep all of your wages and only a portion of your earnings are taken into account when calculating your Income Support benefits.
Income supports payment dates
The monthly payment for Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) and Income Support (IS) occurs 4 business days prior to the first of the month. If this day falls on a holiday or weekend, benefits will be paid on the previous business day.
