Cultural Heritage Initiatives Program

This grant supports non-profit organizations to preserve and share the cultural heritage of Indigenous and ethnocultural communities.

Overview

This program is now closed and no longer accepting applications. Projects that were previously eligible for funding under CHIP may be eligible under the Community Initiatives Program Project-Based. Contact Community Grants office for eligibility requirements and program information.

Reporting requirements

Projects must be completed and accounted for within 18 months from the date the grant payment was received.

Financial reporting must be:

  • completed using the Final Accountability Report (FAR)
    • All recipients were provided with a FAR populated with approved budget information. If you have any questions regarding the reporting or require a copy of the FAR please email [email protected].
  • submitted to program staff within the periods specified in the guidelines unless an extension of the reporting date has been approved
