Description: Severe thunderstorm warning in effect

At 8:58 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time Monday, Environment Canada has updated a severe thunderstorm warning for South Central Alberta. Extra care and attention should be exercised. The following localities are included in the warning: Blackie, Arrowhead, Milo, Vulcan, Carmangay and Lomond. Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a very dangerous thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, baseball size or greater hail and torrential rain.

Area: Foothills Co. near Blackie

• Foothills No. 31
• Vulcan County
• Arrowwood
• Vulcan

Action to take:

• Take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches
• Intense lightning is likely and tornados are possible with any thunderstorm that develops
