About the database
The Alberta Water Well Information Database contains about 500,000 records with 3,000 new records added annually. The database provides information on:
- water well drilling reports
- chemical analysis reports up to the end of 1986
- springs
- flowing shot holes
- test holes
- yield tests conducted on water wells
Registered users can submit their water well-related activity reports to the Water Well Information Database by logging in to their secure account.

Once approved, users will be emailed a User ID and password, plus a direct link to the Water Well Drilling Report Submission System website.
