Overview
We are gathering feedback to inform the development of a Wapiti Recreation and Trail Management Plan that will provide long-term direction for planning, management, and operational and capital decisions for improving outdoor recreational opportunities along the Wapiti River Valley.
In the first phase of engagement, perspectives on proposed Trail Experience Zones and specific trails in the plan area were collected to help us establish designated trails for specific uses to reduce conflicts and create opportunities for safe and enjoyable recreation experiences.
The Wapiti area hosts a major multi-use outdoor recreation and trail network for land and water-based activities. It is a popular area for recreation within the Peace region that is home to many long-standing recreational facilities and associations.
