Based on the books ‘Zodiac’ and ‘Zodiac Unmasked: the Identity of America’s Most Exclusive Serial Killer.’ A dramatization of the long and ultimately unsuccessful investigation into the identity of the 1970s San Francisco serial killer dubbed “The Zodiac Killer,” led by a group of frustrated police officers (Mark Ruffalo, Anthony Edwards) and obsessive journalists (Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey Jr.).
