These circumstances can include low income, parents without family or community support, history of abuse/neglect, and parents who find it difficult to cope with day-to-day family challenges. Home Visitors visit families in their homes 1-2 times/week to strengthen existing parenting abilities and promote the development of new competencies so that parents have the knowledge and skills needed to be positive, confident parents and provide their children with experiences and opportunities that promote child learning and development.
