Service description: Healthy Families is a home visitation program providing support to parents with newborns and children aged 0-6 who are in a variety of at-risk circumstances. These circumstances can include low income, parents without family or community support, history of abuse/neglect, and parents who find it difficult to cope with day-to-day family challenges. Home Visitors visit families in their homes 1-2 times/week to strengthen existing parenting abilities and promote the development of new competencies so that parents have the knowledge and skills needed to be positive, confident parents and provide their children with experiences and opportunities that promote child learning and development.

Service description: Programs & services which support learning, skill development and personal wellbeing for caregivers- optimizing their strengths and enhancing knowledge, promote a child’s wellbeing and assist them to reach their developmental potential – strengthening and supporting the mastery of skills in all developmental domains, and promote positive connections between children, youth, families and communities- developing natural supports and nurturing environments.

Service description: This spoke service will provide child and youth development supports through family enhancement sessions, and child and youth development workshops. In addition, this spoke service will provide caregiver education sessions through group and individual delivery methods.
