Overview
Input was sought from the condominium sector to address issues that they identified. This includes chargebacks, the design of a Condominium Dispute Resolution Tribunal, terminations, accountability of an interim board, developer turnover meeting timelines and contributions and technical analysis requirements for new builds.
The Condominium Property Act and Condominium Property Regulation provide the legislative framework for the governance and operation of condominiums in Alberta. Both have been subject to a series of amendments since 2014.

Virtual sessions
From January to March 2024, condominium owners, boards, managers and industry partners were invited to virtual sessions to provide input on the proposed areas to improve condominium legislation.
