How to access

To access the LMS, you must have a verified Alberta.ca account. If you do not already have an Alberta.ca account, click on the link below and follow the instructions on the screen to complete your registration.

Costs

The cost to enrol in the 40-hour Entry Program is $250. 

Complete all modules in the Entry Program to qualify for the Class 1 knowledge test and Core Learning Program.

The knowledge test can be taken at Alberta registry agent locations for $17.

The Core Learning Program is provided at licensed driver training schools that set their own fees for this training.

Payment method

You can pay for the Entry Program directly and securely from the new Learning Management System (LMS) using e-services. A credit card is required.

The Learning Management System (“LMS”) is the property of the Province of Alberta (the “Province”) and is accessed through your Alberta.ca account. The information in the LMS is confidential, proprietary, and subject to the terms of use of your Alberta.ca account and the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Access to LMS is solely for authorized users and your usage of the LMS is monitored. 

By accessing the LMS, you accept responsibility to ensure the accuracy of your information in the LMS, to not use or disclose the confidential information contained in the LMS for any unauthorized purpose, and to comply with all applicable laws. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your LMS information and to use the information in the LMS solely for purposes related to driver training or driver examination, unless otherwise directed by the Province. 

You expressly accept that the Province does not warrant or assume any responsibility for error free or uninterrupted operation of the LMS. By using the LMS, you expressly waive any and all liability whether direct or indirect against the Province, its employees or agents, for any loss or damage of any kind, including arising out of or in connection with the use, misuse, or functioning of the LMS. 

Any misuse of the LMS, or any security threats or vulnerabilities, can result in any steps determined to be necessary by the Province in its sole discretion. These steps include, but are not limited to, the immediate suspension of your LMS access privileges, and/or investigative, disciplinary, regulatory, or criminal action against you. Misuse of the LMS includes, but is not limited to, accessing, viewing or altering records to which you should not have access or providing such access to unauthorized persons. By accessing LMS, you acknowledge the above and accept full responsibility regarding your use of the LMS.
