Child care engagement

Gathered input on child care in Alberta to help reduce red tape and improve quality and safety in child care.

Overview

We’re modernizing child care legislation to improve the overall standard of care in Alberta, putting the safety, well-being and development of children first.

In the summer of 2020, we gathered feedback from parents, child care providers, early childhood educators and other experts on how to improve quality and safety in child care while also cutting unnecessary red tape.
