COR Equivalency for ISO or CSA Certification
Employers who hold a valid International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification (ISO 45001:2018) or Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certification (CSA Z45001:19 or CSA Z1000:14) from a designated certification body may apply for Certificate of Recognition (COR) equivalency through an Alberta Certifying Partner (CP).
As part of the application process, employers must provide the CP with documentation verifying their ISO or CSA certification. If approved, employers will receive a regular three-year COR issued jointly by the CP and Partnerships in Injury Reduction (PIR), provided the scope of the ISO or CSA audit aligns with the employer’s operations.
To maintain their COR certification, the employer must submit documentation to the CP that demonstrates the ISO or CSA certification has been maintained for year two and three of their three-year COR cycle.
