Dale McFee currently serves as Edmonton’s 23rd chief of police, having led the Edmonton Police Service since 2019. He will assume his new duties as deputy minister of executive council on February 24, 2025. Chief McFee is a national leader in policing, having held the positions of president of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police and director of the Canadian Police Association. Chief McFee previously served for six years as Saskatchewan’s deputy minister of corrections and policing. He is also recognized for his expertise on leadership and change management as a lecturer, both nationally and internationally.

Ray Gilmour, former deputy minister of executive council, has accepted a position as the interim CEO of the Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) where he will help stabilize operations, bring spending under control and ensure the corporation operates efficiently.
