“More than 2,500 years ago, Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree, becoming the Buddha.
“Today, Buddhists will light candles and incense in their homes and temples representing the purity of life. They will decorate Bodhi trees with lights and ornaments to symbolize the many paths to awakening.
“Happy Bodhi Day to everyone celebrating. May you stay on the path of eternal knowledge, happiness and peace through daily acts of kindness, generosity and compassion.”
