Parliamentary Secretary de Jonge will travel to Salt Lake City, Utah to attend the Energy Council’s 2024 Global Energy and Environmental Issues Conference. Meeting with elected representatives from other energy-producing states and provinces is an opportunity to strengthen strategic partnerships, contribute to global energy dialogues, and reinforce to the importance of Alberta’s ability to provide energy security in North America and around the globe.

As part of ongoing efforts to modernize Alberta’s electricity system, the conference will also provide an opportunity to discuss common challenges and long-term solutions with other jurisdictions working to strengthen their power grids.

Parliamentary Secretary de Jonge will be on personal time Dec. 7 to 10 after the Energy Council Conference. Parliamentary Secretary de Jonge’s personal time will be covered at her own expense and will not have any associated government costs.
