The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Conference is scheduled from Oct. 7-10. Organized by the American Gaming Association, G2E is the world’s leading casino industry exhibition and conference where gaming executives, operators, advisors, suppliers and other industry professionals meet to see the latest product releases and advancements and learn about issues the industry is facing.

The conference is an opportunity to learn more about the trends in the global gaming industry, how to attract new markets, and how new regulations and technologies are improving consumer protection for those who participate in online gaming. An estimated 25,000 industry professionals from more than 115 countries will be participating in the conference.

  • In Alberta, Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) is responsible for regulating, protecting the integrity of and maintaining accountability for Alberta’s gaming activities.
  • Currently, PlayAlberta is the province’s only legal, regulated iGaming site, which is operated under the direction and management of AGLC.
  • Over the summer, discussions were held with First Nation partners and existing land-based casino and Racing Entertainment Centre operators to better understand their perspectives on options to develop an online gaming strategy that will serve the best interests of Alberta and Albertans.
