This holy day is an opportunity for Muslims to reflect on the profound values of sacrifice, devotion to faith, compassion, love and generosity.
“Eid al-Adha commemorates the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God, a powerful reminder of faith and dedication. The holiday also coincides with the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, which is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and a profound spiritual journey for millions of Muslims.
