“Over the past year, Albertans have benefited from the leadership and expertise of Dr. Keith Humphreys, one of the most respected researchers in addiction and public drug policy in North America. He has served as chair of Alberta’s Recovery Expert Advisory Panel, helping guide our province’s evidence-based approach to addiction and mental health care.
“We are grateful to Dr. Humphreys for bringing his expert knowledge to the Alberta Model, and we wish him the very best in his new position as senior policy analyst in the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. We know he will be keeping an eye on what he has called Alberta’s visionary drug policy work orienting services around recovery.
“As we build out the Alberta Model, the Recovery Expert Advisory Panel will continue to provide advice on best practices, research and innovation, public policy and standards, as well as inform evaluation and outcomes reporting. The panel will continue to be led by vice-chairs Dr. Nathaniel Day and Chief Charles Weaselhead.”
