This release was issued under a previous government.

Alberta Supports Centres help Albertans connect seamlessly to a range of supports they may need, such as the Alberta Seniors Benefit, Child Care Subsidy and Income Support.

"During tough times, Albertans need and deserve to have supports that are easily accessible and are provided in a friendly, respectful environment. As part of our government’s commitment to protect and improve the things that make a difference, we are expanding access to these critical services in new Alberta Supports Centres. I’m proud to see these new centres making life better for families and communities across this province."

Irfan Sabir, Minister of Community and Social Services

There are now more than 40 Alberta Supports Centres throughout the province, where Alberta Supports coordinators take a person-centred approach to help Albertans connect with more than 30 different social programs and 120 community services for:

  • employment
  • financial needs
  • children and youth
  • parents and families
