Overview
This directive establishes anniversary dates for non-management and management employees.
Non-management employees
A non-management employee's anniversary date will normally be the first day of the month in which:
- the employee begins employment, including prior continuous wage service, provided there has been no break in service
- the employee receives a salary increase
However, the anniversary date will be the first of the following month if the start of employment or salary increase occurs after the 15th of the month.
Anniversary dates do not change when non-management employees are transferred or demoted and their salary remains unchanged.
The Public Service Commissioner may establish uniform anniversary dates.
Management employees
The anniversary date for employees in positions assigned a classification within the Management Job Evaluation Plan will be April 1.
