Helping Calgarians experiencing financial hardship is what fuels Brian Mkubwa’s volunteer spirit.
As a volunteer with Calgary Drop-In Centre’s Free Goods program, Brian contributed 300 hours of volunteer time to help process the donations of gently used items from generous Calgarians. Always willing to step up for any task assigned, Brian worked to sort and organize the household goods, furniture, clothing and other essentials available through the program.
Brian also took the time to engage with staff and other volunteers to help create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for all involved.
For demonstrating leadership as a team player and for his boundless enthusiasm and work ethic, Brian Mkubwa is Northern Lights Recognition honours recipient.
