About the artist
Alberta’s third Artist in Residence and Arts Ambassador was Aeris Osborne, a self-taught Hong Kong-Canadian visual artist. Aeris moved to Edmonton in 2007, where she first learned to paint.
Aeris debuted her residency project, “Alberta Old Buildings,” in an exhibition in the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton from August to December 2023. The 10 impressionist paintings and 10 ink pen drawings of historical residences and other buildings from across the province has also gone on to exhibit at Red Deer’s Viewpoint Gallery (July to August 2024) and Lougheed House National & Provincial Historic Site (April to June 2024).
