At approximately 12:45 p.m today, Westlock RCMP responded to a stabbing at a residence located off Highway 44, near Township road 603 in Westlock County. The suspect, Tanner Nelson, is thought to be on foot, armed with a knife, and considered extremely dangerous. Tanner is 6 feet tall, 200 lbs, brown hair, brown eyes, and was wearing a black shirt, grey pants and a hat.

Area: This alert is in effect for the Westlock County.

Action to take:

• Do not open the door to strangers
• Do not pick up hitchhikers
• If you see Tanner Nelson, do not approach, and report all sightings to 911
