Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The MD of Peace No. 135 has cancelled this emergency alert.
The wildfire burning southeast of Township Road 830, about 1 km north of the River remains active.
Area: The Evacuation Order remains in effect for everyone from Township Road 830, south to the Peace River, and from Highway 684, east to the Peace River, in the MD of Peace No. 135.
Affected areas (1):
- Peace No. 135
Action to take:
- Do not return to the impacted area until local authorities confirm it is safe, and re-entry is announced by the MD of Peace
- Authorities from the MD of Peace have not yet approved re-entry
- An update will be provided today, April 24 at 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM
- Follow the MD of Peace website, and the MD of Peace Facebook page for updates at 6 and 10 o’clock today for an update on re-entry planning
