Alberta Wildfire 58, the Basset Lake wildfire is Southwest of Meander River, burning North toward the community.

Area: This alert is in effect for everyone in Meander River.

Affected areas (1):

• Upper Hay River 212

Action to take:

• Everyone in Meander River and surrounding areas must prepare to evacuate
• No evacuation is required at this time, but prepare for a possible evacuation to High Level
• Gather important documents, medication and supplies to be away from home for 7 days or more
• Follow www.alberta.ca/emergencyalert and local media for updates.
