At 4:35 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a dangerous thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, golf ball to tennis ball size hail and heavy rain. This severe thunderstorm is located 10 km northwest of Pekisko and is moving southeast at 20 km/h.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Very large hail can damage property, break windows, dent vehicles and cause serious injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
