At 2:53 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time Monday, Environment Canada has issued a tornado warning for South Central Alberta. Extra care and attention should be exercised in and around the following localities: Brown-Lowery Park, Okotoks, Diamond Valley and High River. Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a thunderstorm that is producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.

Area: Foothills Co. near Okotoks and De Winton

• Okotoks
• High River

• Take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches
