History:

Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Woodlands County has extended an Evacuation Order for along the McLeod River.

Rising waters on McLeod River are causing overland flooding and washing out roads. River flows are expected to remain high until at least Friday.

Area: The area has been updated to include Twp Rd 592, RR 130, and McMillan Rd, east of Hwy 32 and Eagle River Wilderness Campground. This order is for everyone on Old Ferry Loop South and Cutbanks Rd. Old Ferry Loop south of Twp Rd 594 to McLeod River, from RR 125 to RR 123B and west to McLeod River, along Cutbanks Rd. West Mountain Rd to Stratton Ave, west to McLeod River, and low-lying properties on Stratton Ave.

  • Woodlands County

Action to take:

  • Everyone in the affected area must evacuate immediately
  • Gather pets, important documents, and medication
  • Call 1-888-870-6315 to register
  • Call 9-1-1 for emergency assistance
  • Do not move or bypass barricades.
