Description: tornado warning in effect

At 5:50 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time Wednesday, Environment Canada has updated a tornado warning for Southeastern Alberta. Extra care and attention should be exercised. The following localities are included in the warning: Dinosaur Park, Jenner, Patricia, Tilley and Rolling Hills. Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.

Area: S.A. 2 near Iddesleigh and Dinosaur Prov. Park

Affected areas (2):

  • Special Area No. 2
  • Newell County No. 4

Action to take:

  • Take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches
