Description: This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The Town of Bow Island has updated the Water Supply Alert.

A water main break has occurred at the water treatment plant main line on Fourth Street West in Bow Island. The water break to the main line has been repaired, and the water to the town will be turned on. Be advised, a boil water advisory is now in effect until further notice.

Action to take:

• Take all necessary precautions
• Use bottled water to consume if possible
• If you use town water, fill a pot or kettle with tap water and heat it on the stove until it reaches a full boil for 1 minute
• Turn off the heat and let the water cool
