Description: Alberta Emergency Alert- Dangerous Highway Conditions

Severe winter weather conditions along Highway 2 between 41 Avenue Southwest, Edmonton, to south of Red Deer are impacting travel in both directions. Heavy snow, icy conditions and strong winds causing blowing snow are creating dangerous driving with whiteout conditions. Area highways and roads may be closed without notice.

Drivers are instructed to not travel in this area. Go to 511.alberta.ca for up to date road conditions and route information.
