Description: Alberta Emergency Alert - Flood Risk Alert
The Peace River Ice Break Up may cause flooding in low lying areas along the Peace River and residents of North Vermilion (Buttertown) and Fort Vermilion should prepare to evacuate on short notice.
This advisory is to allow you time to prepare for potential evacuation. You are not required to evacuate at this time. Please share this message and tell your neighbours and friends, particularly those without access to the internet or news. Contact Mackenzie County Incident Command Centre at 780-927-3718 for more information. If you voluntarily evacuate, please register by calling 780-927-3718. For additional information listen to local community radio broadcast or follow Mackenzie County’s Facebook page. Remember to follow the recommendations and regulations set by AHS & GoA to limit the spread of COVID-19.
