Description: Alberta Emergency Alert: Overland Flow Flood Alert
The Driftpile River continues to rise and is expected to rise a further 0.5 to 1.0 meter tonight.
The rise in water level may cause water to flow out of the banks of the river near the water level measurement station in the community of Driftpile. Flooding of low lying areas upstream and downstream of the dyking is already occuring and may increase as water makes its way downstream.

- Kapawe'no First Nation (Pakashan 150D)
- Swan River 150E

- Kapawe'no First Nation (Halcro 150C)
- Kapawe'no First Nation (Grouard 230)
Action to take:
- Be aware of low lying areas known to flood easily
- Avoid rivers, valleys and low lying areas
- Avoid travelling on flooded roadways
- Listen for further updates and follow the instructions that apply to your area
- The water levels and weather forecasts will continue to be monitored
- Additional advisories will be issued as required
