Description: Alberta Emergency Alert: Alert for a Possible Tornado Updated
At 3:32 PM, a rotating severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado is located 20 km northeast of Smoky Lake, moving northeast at 60 km/h.
Area: Smoky Lake County
Affected areas (5):
- Smoky Lake County
- Vilna
- Waskatenau
- Smoky Lake
- Saddle Lake 125
Action to take:
- Seek shelter immediately in a basement or reinforced structure
- Get low and put as many walls between yourself and the storm as possible
- Stay away from windows, doors and outside walls
- If you are on the highway and cannot avoid the tornado, seek shelter in a ditch or ravine
