Description: Alberta Emergency Alert: Overland Flow Flood Alert Updated
Overland flooding throughout Greenview is resulting in road closures and hazards. New road closures have been added over night in the DeBolt, Sunset House/Sweathouse, and Grovedale areas. Barricades and signs are being placed at affected roads. As conditions improve and locations are approved to reopen barricades and signs will be removed.
Field staff will be responding to flood concerns that come in over the weekend, contact the area supervisor for your region included in the Flood Update on our website. Residents are reminded to not pump residential flood water or runoff from their properties into the municipal residential sewage system, this can quickly overload and compromise the sewer system. Go to www.mdgreenview.ab.ca for more information and a list and map of affected roads.
