There is a grass and brush fire southeast of the Village of Edgerton in the M.D. of Wainwright No. 61. High winds are pushing the fire and smoke towards the Village of Edgerton. Fire crews are on site and dealing with the situation.

Secondary Highway 610 still remains closed. Travel should still be avoided on this road. At this time, east, west and north fire breaks are secure. Crews are working on a south fire break and progress of fire has been slowed considerably.
