Overland flooding is impacting areas throughout Greenview resulting in road closures and hazards. Additional locations may be affected as melting continues. Barricades and signs are being placed at affected roads. Sandbags are available for pick up at the Operations Building in Valleyview.

Call Operations at 780-524-7602 to report new roads that are flooded or pick up sand bags. Go to www.mdgreenview.ab.ca for a list and map of affected roads. Road closure locations and further updates will be posted as they become available. Information is being updated on a daily basis.

Action to take:

• Use alternate routes and obey posted signs
• Do not bypass or move barricades or travel through water covered roads as there may be hidden hazards including washouts and erosion
• Drive with extreme caution
• Be aware of areas known to flood easily such as streams, drainage channels and canyons
• Listen for further updates and follow the instructions that apply to your area
