Description: County of Grande Prairie: Overland Flow Flood Alert

Melting snow continues to cause flooding resulting in road closures in the County of Grande Prairie. Overland flooding is impacting areas throughout the County. Additional locations may be affected in the next few days. Use alternate routes to avoid areas of flooding when possible and exercise extreme caution when traveling.

If you encounter an area that requires immediate attention that impedes travel or has a significant risk to safety and property, please contact the Public Works at 780-532-7393. Information is being updated on a daily basis.

• Use alternate routes and respect posted signs
• Do not bypass or move barricades or travel through water covered roads as there may be hidden hazards including washouts and erosion
• Drive with extreme caution
• Listen for further updates and follow the instructions that apply to your area
