Description: Alberta Emergency Alert - High Water Level Alert Updated
The ice jam on the Little Red Deer River at Highway 587 has subsided and water levels are receding. Water levels in the Medicine River have stabilized but remain high. Localized flooding of roads and property may still occur as river levels fluctuate.
The voluntary evacuation for Silver Lagoon subdivision is lifted. Sand bags are available at the Spruceview Fire Hall and the Markerville Community Hall for affected residents. The Alberta Health Services boil water advisory for Silver Lagoon subdivision and Red Lodge Estates remains in effect until further notice. Residents located within 5 km of flooded areas are advised to exercise caution with drinking water and to boil water as a cautionary measure.
