Post-it Forward: Bullying Awareness Week 2015

Bullying affects thousands of Albertans in their schools, workplaces, and communities. Bullying Awareness Week (BAW) aims to increase awareness of the importance of preventing bullying and promoting healthy, positive relationships.

“We all have a responsibility to stand up against bullying, create safe environments, and promote healthy relationships. Bullying affects us all and we need to work together to keep our communities safe. I encourage all Albertans to share the message: Be inclusive. Be kind. Be respectful.”

Irfan Sabir, Minister of Human Services

“The true measure of a society is how we treat and care for each other through healthy, supportive relationships. During Bullying Awareness Week, and throughout the year, I encourage each of us to make a positive difference in someone’s life, including in all of Alberta’s schools.”

David Eggen, Minister of Education

A number of events are happening throughout the week across the province, including the Post-It® Forward campaign. Albertans are encouraged to prevent bullying and promote healthy relationships by using Post-Its® to share uplifting messages about people and organizations in their communities.
