The Mental Health Review is being co-chaired by Dr. David Swann, Liberal leader and MLA for Calgary-Mountain View, and Danielle Larivee, MLA for Lesser Slave Lake. Both have health backgrounds and a passion for the well-being of Albertans. Tyler White, CEO for Siksika Health Services, which is affiliated with Treaty 7 Management Corporation, has joined the Mental Health Review as a third committee member.
"Working with Dr. Swann as co-chair for this review has been a privilege so far, and we are both excited to have Tyler White join us to share his knowledge and experience, and to help expand our understanding and perspective. We need to hear from all Albertans about mental health and addiction for individuals and families. Everyone, regardless of who they are, or where they live, needs to feel respected and cared for, and be able to receive the support they need. This review will help us achieve that."
The online questionnaire will help the committee develop immediate actions for improvement. Online feedback is a key part of the mental health review. It will help ensure that as many people as possible have the chance to provide input into the review and identify opportunities in the addiction and mental health system for improvement.
Tyler White will help inform the committee about addiction and mental health issues and opportunities for First Nations, Metis and Aboriginal people and communities, and assist in developing recommendations that impact these communities.

The online questionnaire is open until Friday, October 23, and the report and recommendations will be presented to government by the end of the year.
