Flood project open houses scheduled for Calgary and Bragg Creek

Representatives from the Government of Alberta and Stantec – the engineering and environmental consultant on the project – will listen to concerns, collect feedback and answer questions from residents regarding this key flood mitigation project upstream of Calgary.

The Springbank Off-stream Reservoir will be located approximately 15 km west of Calgary near Springbank Road, north of the Elbow River and east of Highway 22.

Public engagement is a key component of an Environmental Impact Assessment, the process used to gather the information necessary to examine the potential impacts, both positive and negative, of a proposed project.
