Support our Troops Licence Plate

Since it was introduced on July 22, 2014, the Support Our Troops licence plate has given Albertans a new way to show their respect for—and help aid—Canadian service men and women in Alberta.

“The Support Our Troops licence plate is both a statement of pride and a show of support for our military families. I encourage Albertans to consider ordering a Support Our Troops licence plate this Remembrance Day. I’m glad to have my plate as a way of saying thank you to our military.”

Stephen Khan, Minister of Service Alberta

The Support Our Troops Program aids injured personnel and provides financial assistance to current and former members of the Canadian Armed Forces and their families. To date, Albertans have contributed more than $220,000 through licence plate sales to the program, which is administered by the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services.

“The Support Our Troops licence plate is a fitting reminder of the sacrifices we will commemorate this upcoming Remembrance Day. Through the Support Our Troops Program and the generosity of Albertans, this initiative will help the extraordinary and unique needs of military members and their families.”

Commodore Mark Watson, Director General at Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services

The Support Our Troops plate complements Alberta’s veterans’ plates, which feature a poppy in honour of former and current members of the Canadian Armed Forces. The Support Our Troops plate can be ordered through registry agents across Alberta. Allow two weeks for delivery.
