Judge Hunter is appointed for a five-year term. The term for the former Assistant Chief Judge, Judge W. Albert Skinner, expired on September 30.
Judge Hunter was appointed to Provincial Court for Central Region in 2009. Before his appointment, he was a town councillor in Stettler for nine years and served as mayor of Stettler from 2004 to 2009.
