“On the evening of August 6, a volunteer firefighter with Lac Ste. Anne Fire Services, Sangudo Station died while responding to a call.
“Whitecourt-Ste. Anne MLA George VanderBurg and I are both shocked and saddened by this loss. We’d like to offer our sincere condolences to this member’s family and friends and to the members of the Lac Ste. Anne Fire Services who lost their friend and colleague.
“This is a poignant reminder that first responders risk their lives every day to keep Albertans safe. On behalf of the Government of Alberta, we offer our support to the community as they deal with this tragic loss.”
